The Town of Wytheville utilizes the OpenGov/Viewpoint Cloud Software for Town applications and permits. This platform is used by multiple departments including; Building, Planning & Zoning, Engineering, Public Utilities, Administration, Public Works, and the Fire Department. It is a web-based system that allows the public to apply for and track applications from the comfort of their home or business at any time, and it is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

The Town of Wytheville will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Wytheville Municipal Building located at 150 East Monroe Street, Wytheville, Virginia, to solicit public input on local community development and housing needs in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a project in our community.
Information on the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefits to low- and moderate-income persons, eligible activities, and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary will be available. Citizens will be provided with the opportunity to comment on the Town’s past use of CDBG funds. All interested citizens are urged to attend. THE 2023 PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES HAVE BEEN MAILED AND ARE DUE DECEMBER 5, 2023.
Effective May 5, 2023, The Town of Wytheville treasurer’s office will be closing at 12:00 pm on Fridays.
The new schedule for the treasurer’s office will be Monday – Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
