ALL PASS PLAN HOLDERS AND GUESTS

COVID-19 SAFETY

The Town of Wytheville and the Wytheville Parks and Recreation Department take the health and safety of our guests and employees very seriously, and we have implemented measures to help ensure the safe enjoyment of the Wytheville Recreation Center during the COVID-19 pandemic.

These measures include increased cleaning and sanitizing protocols, social distancing and the use of face masks by employees and users of the facility. All are derived from recommendations of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Governor’s Executive Order 63. Unfortunately, we have continued to encounter Pass Plan Holders who refuse to wear a mask.

Failure to follow these recommendations puts everyone at risk. For the community’s safety, it is imperative to take positive action to enforce these measures.

Beginning on July 22, 2020, a mask for each facility user will be required to enter the facility. Those who choose not to wear a mask will not be admitted and will be asked to leave the facility. Those who refuse will be escorted from the facility by law enforcement.

Those required to be escorted from the facility will face immediate suspension from use of the facility in accordance with disciplinary actions.
