Due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday, the refuse collection in the Town of Wytheville for Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, 2017, will be made on Monday, November 27, 2017. The normal refuse collection scheduled for Monday, November 27, 2017, will be made on that day.
Starting with this year's 2017 real estate, personal property, mobile home, machinery and tool and public services taxes, the due date will be December 5, 2017.
The next meeting of the Wytheville Town Council will be Monday, November 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
The Town of Wytheville’s Recycling Facility is being relocated from its current location on West Monroe Street to its new location on South Third Street adjacent to the Town’s Maintenance Shop opening February 1, 2017.
The Town of Wytheville is honoring veterans this holiday season with a special symbol of support.
Effective Monday, November 7, 2016, 4-way stop signs will be installed at First and Main Streets, and Tazewell/Church and Main Streets, due to the traffic signal poles and arms being removed as part of the Downtown Revitalization Project. They will remain in operation until after the first of the year. The Town of Wytheville would encourage citizens to use caution at these intersections. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates the cooperation of the citizens.
2016 Tax Tickets for the Town of Wytheville have been mailed. Town taxes are due December 15th. It is your responsibility to pay taxes even if you did not receive a bill. If you have not received a tax bill, contact the Town of Wytheville Treasurer’s Office at 223-3333. The Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
