Aquatics Coordinator/Head Swim Team Coach
Zach began working as a part-time lifeguard for the Clemmons YMCA in the spring of 2007. Since then he has also worked as a Swim Instructor (private and group), Swim Lessons Coordinator, Pool Manager, Pool Supervisor, Lifeguard Instructor, and Swim Coach. Zach also swam for 4 years at Reagan High School in Pfafftown, NC. He made the regional cut for the 500 freestyle his sophomore through senior year. During his senior year, he also made regional cuts in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle as well as the 200 IM. He swam the 500 freestyle at the state championship meet. His 200 freestyle relay team placed 1st at the regional meet, 3rd at the state meet, and nearly broke the school record. Zach also spent one year swimming for the Appalachian State University club team. Zach is excited to bring his skills and experience to Wytheville and looks forward to continuing to expand his knowledge.
